Jennifer Henry has been involved in the fields of library science and education for over 10 years. She grew up in St. Lawrence County, NY in the rural town of Parishville. She graduated from Parishville-Hopkinton Central School and attended St. John Fisher College in Pittsford, NY with a major in broadcast journalism. When her interest in media changed in scope she turned her focus to the study of Education and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from SUNY Potsdam with majors in English and Education. She earned her general NYS Teaching Certification in grades Pre-K-6 with an English Extension for grades 6-8.

In 2003, Jennifer earned a Master of Science degree in Instructional Technology and Media Management from SUNY Potsdam while concurrently pursuing a Master Certificate of Study in Library Science from Indiana University and becoming a NYS certified Library Media Specialist. She pursued coursework in Educational Administration and in 2007 earned her NYS Teaching Certification as an educational leader.

Jennifer worked as an Academic Intervention Services instructor for the Salmon River Central School District in Fort Covington, NY before she began her Master's level coursework. She has always had a love for media and library science and worked in college libraries throughout her academic career. She served as a school library media specialist at Nightengale Elementary School in Massena, NY before taking on her current position as School Library System Coordinator at Champlain Valley Educational Services in Plattsburgh where she now works with 41 school librarians in 17 school districts.

She currently lives in Plattsburgh, NY with her husband and two children.
